Since our establishment in 1999, Tong Hong Lee (THL) has enjoyed vast support from major industry players and regular clients. From a humble beginning of only 10 staff, THL is one of the most prominent companies in the industry today, providing our clients all aspects of container trading and support services necessary to keep their shipping operations on the go!

In 1999, THL began with the provision of repair works on containers for container trading companies, and in the following years tied up with Soon Hock Group for the provision of materials to keep our operations going.

From 2005 onwards, THL was engaged to provide repair and survey services for shipping line like Maersk containers, MOL, Cosco, Wan Hai, ZLine and leasing line like TAL, Gold containers, Florens etc.

In 2007, THL is incorporated as a Private Company and started to include trading of containers as part of her services.

Through a joint-venture with a major supplier from China, THL began importing materials in 2009. The imported materials complemented the existing services at that time, while staff strength increased to more than a hundred today.

THL is looking at strategic expansion of our operations into the South-east Asia market within the next 2 years. Currently, we are already exporting materials into the Vietnamese market.

Throughout the years of enterprising, the journey is both exhilarating and inspiring as THL weathered through the highly competitive environment, and continues to grow today.

Our workforce comprises for 4 divisions. Leasing, Sales, Materials and Support & Maintenance. The four divisions are created out of opportunities from each other, and all services compliments one another to bring about efficiency and value for our customers.

We ensure that excellent support services are always provided for the containers we sell or lease, and it also proves our services goes well beyond any ordinary contractual periods. SeaCargo containers, reefer, flat rack, opentop,generalpurpose containers can be maintained with our repair services to make sure they are in-line with singapore shipping container regulations.

TLH places emphasis on not only developing our staff to the best of their capabilities, but also on workplace safety.

Being in the container industry, our workers may have to operate heavy machineries and equipment on the field and the management fully understands at these can pose a threat to the operator and people working in the same vicinity.

TLH management takes a serious stance on workplace safety and health, especially after the various incidents that occurred on construction sites. The management enforces managerial personnel to look into the Workplace Safety and Health Act and hold meetings periodically to review the current safety measures in place.

On the ground, supervisors are sent for training courses conducted by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Academy. The workers are also educated on workplace safety and health so that both authority and employees can work together cohesively to establish a safe working environment.

In support of the government’s push for Workplace Safety, TLH shall continuously send the supervisors and managerial personnel for upgrade courses to ensure that employees can work on our premises with no worries!
